Architectural Design Issues for Web-based Virtual Reality Training Systems

In the surgical eld the demand for new training methods has increased in order to cope with the development of surgical technology. Virtual reality technology ooers great potential in the training simulation eld. This paper presents a surgical training system which utilises both virtual reality technology and the advantage of world wide accessibility ooered by the web. The requirements of such a system are presented and an architectural design to achieve these requirements is proposed.
